New for 2017! We are proud to introduce the all new Heron Point Mountain Lodge, an exciting combination of luxury and architectural beauty on Smith Mountain Lake. The house is centered on a three acre flat peninsula and commands 180 degree+ water views. Standing on the front deck, you won't be able to see where the water ends on either side. The shoreline is over 600 feet long and faces west so be ready for some amazing sunsets over the lake. This home was designed and built from the ground up to be a high quality rental property. With a timber frame created by artisans of Floyd, VA and carpentry by the German Baptist craftsmen of Rocky Mount, this one-of-a-kind home is destined to be a Smith Mountain Lake landmark. Of course, it wouldn't be a great lake vacation without great water access. The property has two docks, one main dock and one pier at opposite sides of the property. The main dock is where the action is, with a floater attached to the larger fixed portion. The main dock features a bar and sitting area along with ceiling fans to keep you cool as you relax and enjoy the views. Although the house is on a peninsula, the dock is located within a cove and protected from the direct flow of water traffic. Given its location off Craddock Creek, expect crystal clear waters and access to some great marinas and waterfront restaurants.

5,000 square feet of living space in the house are designed to maximize its usability / your enjoyment. The house has a sleeping capacity of 16 people and has numerous different sleeping configurations depending on the makeup of your party. 2 of the rooms can either be used as common areas by day and bedrooms by night (or common areas full time, your choice!). There are 2 bunk rooms with 2 twin over full bunk beds each (4 twin + 4 full total), perfect for kids. Because the sun must set at some point, we've included an exciting array of nighttime activities. The centerpiece is surely Heron Point Theater. This custom-built, tiered premium home theater sports a 120-inch screen and three rows of seating on luxury leather chairs. Two rows feature ten luxury reclining and powered leather chairs with lighted cup holders and removable tray tables. The bar seating on the back row allows for more casual viewing, perhaps while enjoying a tray of snacks. The premium sound system, movie projector and lighting will blow you away. Just outside of the home theater is a snack bar with a wet sink, microwave, drink blender, dedicated ice maker, beverage/wine cooler and a drawer dishwasher. The Heron Point Game Room sports two 60 inch video game TVs with an Xbox One and PlayStation 4 each. A selection of video games is onsite. Also onsite is a premium foosball table, shuffleboard table and pool table as well as a Bluetooth-enabled jukebox with color changing lights. 6 chairs, 5 barstools.

The two suites on the upper level have queen beds situated under and between two skylights. You can lie in bed and look up at the stars! These bedrooms also have amazing water views from the skylights and the other windows. Yet another unique feature of this property is that it has its own boat ramp so no need to pay additional boat ramp fees! Hotel style bathrooms and luxury rain shower heads show that this is no ordinary rental accommodation. The house has two whirlpool tubs, a single person Jacuzzi tub downstairs and a two person tub with water jets, air jets and Chroma therapy. Both tubs are elevated to just below window level and have direct water views.
